Question 1

What is Hermes Bot Mode?

Accepted Answer

Hermes Bot Mode lets you run specialist AI agents on your Mac with a saved profile (Name, Title, Description) and full bot instructions (SOUL.md). Each bot on hermesbots.dev is a ready-made profile you can copy into Hermes Desktop.

Question 2

How do I use a bot from this site?

Accepted Answer

Open any bot page, tap Copy bot, then paste the profile fields and instructions into a new bot in Hermes. You can also download a profile bundle (distribution.yaml + SOUL.md) and run hermes profile install on the folder.

Question 3

What does chat-only vs needs integrations mean?

Accepted Answer

Chat-only bots work after copy and paste with no OAuth setup. Bots marked needs integrations expect tools like Slack or Gmail connected in Hermes for the full workflow; they still work in chat with pasted context when integrations are missing.
